Osaka
Osaka, the third-largest city in Japan, is located in the southwest of Honshu, on Osaka Bay. It is the capital of the prefecture of the same name and part of the Keihanshin metropolitan area, home to about 18 million people. Renowned for its strong economic potential, it competes with Tokyo in industry, culture, and science. Tourist attractions include Osaka Castle, as well as numerous museums and theaters. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and hot summers. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit.
